Taut and elastic - the dermis
The dermis is located directly below the epidermis paper, is both robust and smooth and bears the various skin care vessels and nerves. For the firmness and elasticity of the skin are intertwined matted fiber bundle of connective tissue (collagen connective tissue), for the rapids back to its starting position (elasticity) the elastic fibers responsible. The vascular network in the skin serves alongside the supply of adaptation to heat and cold (thermoregulation). The abundant nerve supply to the dermis is the perception of pressure, touch, pain, temperature and itching responsible.
